We were asked for advice on a small stand of ash trees at a property in Garnet Bridge. These were young ash trees with the early stages of ash die back that had also grown up through the telephone wires connecting the local properties. Due to the proximity to the river and steep sided banks, the tangled nature of the branches within the wires, the decision was taken to remove the trees whilst they were still safe to climb as the location was inaccessible to a mobile work access platform unit.
The process was a very technical sectional dismantle. A large proportion of the trees required the use of ropes to 'lift, swing and lower' limbs or sections to the ground This was done through the use of a GRCS - good rigging control winch - that enabled us to lift branches and limbs as they were felled, safely and effectively against gravity.
"From the initial contact and quote to the completion of site work, we found it a pleasure doing business with Dan and Hagglestock Tree Services. They turned up when they said, worked efficiently, did the job well ( telephone wires went through one tree) and the state of the site was left as we had agreed. A very pleasant team that was easy to deal with."
